North International Drive Improvement Project

Watch the Video of the Ribbon Cutting

I had the honor of being part of the ribbon cutting for the North International Drive Improvement Project Dec. 19, 2015.  This is a project that grew out of work I did as an urban design planner at the City of Orlando in the 1990’s working closely with the International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce.  Later I served as a consultant to the International Drive Master Transit and Improvement District (IDMTID).  The North International Drive project adds bus lanes, bike lanes, wider sidewalks and landscape improvements to International Drive from Universal Boulevard to Oak Ridge Road.   I am part of the  ribbon cutting at the far left of the picture.  I am standing with (from left) Commissioner Sam Ings, Luann Brooks of the IDMTID, Mayor Buddy Dyer, me, Charles Ramdatt PE, Project manager Bill Burns PE and Construction Manager Chad Clevenger of Public Works Dept.  What an honor.  IMG_2792 IMG_0251 IMG_0248
